Our dental insurance policies offer financial benefits for everyday dental problems like cavities and dental abscess at an affordable premium. It is not a medical aid and the cover is not equivalent to that of a medical scheme. Our dental insurance policies pay specific amounts on the occurrence of specific conditions or events involving dental health.

We pay the individual direct.

If I wish to join, what should I know first?

Dental Accident & Emergency Plan membership is voluntary, and the following conditions will apply:

• All new employees should join within 60 days of commencement of service, or membership will be forfeited for the remainder of the calendar year.
• A 30 day notice period is applicable on termination of membership.
• Upon death of the principal member, the eligible dependants of the deceased may continue with their membership, provided they confirm in writing within 60 days of continuation of membership.

What happens if I wish to claim?

A claim may only be submitted AFTER a diagnosis by a registered dental health care provider has been completed.  The policyholder should notify the dental claims administrator within 3 months.  All benefits in respect of valid claims will be paid to the policyholder provided that the insured is in good standing.

The claimant must submit a valid diagnostic report or treatment invoice from a registered dental practitioner. A medical certificate indicating the nature of the external blow is required where claiming for accidental trauma benefits. The dental claims administrator may request clinical documentation and/or evidence to support the claim.

All benefit payments will be made payable to the principle member. All benefits will be processed electronically unless otherwise specified by member.
